What’s on offer

We run a youth group on a Friday evening from 5 – 7pm in the city centre. The group is mainly a social space for you to meet other LGBT young people but we try to do lots of interesting things as well. Check out the events section of the website if you want to find out what we’re doing in the next few weeks.

We also have a drop-in from 4.30 to 5pm on a Friday evening. The drop-in is an opportunity to speak to a Fruitbowl worker if you have anything that you need to talk through. Sometimes people have things going on at school or at home that they need some help with or it might just be that you want to talk to chat to a worker about your sexuality. We don’t offer counseling but sometimes it is just useful to chat to an adult that understands the kinds of things you are going through. We can refer you to counselling if you think you want or need that.

If you feel that you would like to talk to a worker we can also meet you, either at school or in a public place like a café. Just get in touch and we can set up a meeting.

The 4.30 – 5pm drop-in is also an opportunity to access our sexual health outreach service. Fruitbowl workers are trained to run a sexual health service where young people can access condoms and dental dams – it’s part of the C-card scheme.
